Responsible Gaming

Decide the amount before you start

Set a figure you can afford to lose before you open any operator link, and treat that amount as already spent the moment you commit it. Deciding in advance removes the in-the-moment temptation to stretch a budget once a session is underway, when judgement is least reliable. If a session ends with that amount gone, the practical signal is to stop, not to look for a way to recover it.

Keep a few habits in place while you play

  • Never chase a loss: money staked to win back an earlier loss is a second decision made under pressure, not the plan you started with.
  • Keep gambling out of borrowed money: money owed elsewhere carries consequences that outlast any session, whatever the result.
  • Take breaks: stepping away for a few minutes breaks the momentum that keeps a losing or winning run feeling like it should continue.
  • Involve someone else early: a person outside the situation notices patterns you can miss, and raising it early is easier than raising it late.

Find independent help from this page

Every page of this site, including this one, carries links to three independent gambling-help organisations: gamblinghelpline.co.nz, gamblingtherapy.org and pgf.nz. These are the only outbound links on the site that are not commercial. They carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on each organisation's own website. This site receives nothing when a reader follows them.

Know where account controls actually live

Anyone eighteen or over may use the operators listed on this site; that restriction is repeated on the front page and at the end of every operator listing. Controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods or self-exclusion belong to an account you hold with an operator. Each of the ten operator listings ends with the same line: check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, because eligibility rules and terms apply there and can change without notice. Everything a reader can actually do with money happens after leaving this site, once an operator link redirects to a third party; from that point the destination's rules, checks and account controls apply, not anything published here.

Understand what this page cannot do

This site has no account, no form and no server-side application, so nothing published here can switch on, check, or enforce a deposit cap, a loss cap, a reality check, a cooling-off period or self-exclusion. Nobody's age is verified on this site and no gambling takes place on it; any age check happens at the destination. No advertising or behavioural profiling network is present in these pages, so nothing here is targeted at a reader who has shown risky behaviour. If you want any of those controls, they are arranged inside an account at the operator you choose to visit, not here.
